We now have it confirmed from an official source: the Oblivion Remake is legit! Of course, we’ve known since the leak because the evidence was impossible to discount, but it’s good to have an official confirmation. There will be a showcase on Youtube tomorrow, and I’m guessing it’ll be launched at the end of that showcase. I’m very excited to see what it’ll bring. We’ve had rumors and whispers of updated stealth mechanics and other changes to the gameplay. I’m guessing all will be revealed soon. What an exciting time this is! Remaking the greatest game ever made is a massive undertaking that I can imagine took a great many years. The level of detail present in just the screenshots we’ve seen so far indicates to me that they have combed through every little nook and cranny of this game and updated it all for the modern era. Lots of people in the sub-30 years old demographic have ignored this game because of its age, but now we have a chance for the mainstream modern game audience to play Oblivion! What an exciting time it is! I’ll see you there!
